Loss prevention and safety policies for petrochemical plants, LNG installations, chemical plants and other onshore facilities require Hydrocarbon Pool Fire (UL1709) Passive Fire Protection Systems to Critical Process Control Equipment (CPCE). The duration of protection is typically for 30 minutes but, in some cases, can be up to 60 minutes. For offshore platforms, FPSO and FLNG, the Fire Specification is typically Hydrocarbon Jet Fire (ISO22899-1) but can also be Hydrocarbon Pool Fire depending on the design and the client. As a minimum, PFP is required for ESDV’s Valve & Actuators and, in most cases, other Critical Process Control Equipment (CPCE). The duration of protection is based on the equipment being protected and the project specification and can range from 15 minutes up to 60 minutes. Daken have developed a range of PFP products to cover all fire types and specifications which are fully tested and are covered by Lloyds Register Type Approval Certification, such as Flexible fire jacket (DFJ), Intumescent Epoxy for Passive Fire Protection (DEC) and rigid fire protection enclosure (DRB).
Daken PFP system have been applied on Rotork actuator fire protection, BIFFI actuator fire protection, AUMA actuator fire protection, LIMITORQUE(FLOWSERVE) actuator fire protection, Bettis actuator fire protection, ACTREG actuator fire protection, Bearnard actuator fire protection, EMERSON valve and actuator fire protection , Valmet(NELES) valve and actuator fire protection, KOSO valve and actuator fire protection, Samson valve and actuator fire protection, Bray valve and actuator fire protection, Kitz valve and actuator fire protection, KTM valve and actuator fire protection.
Our standard products are as follows -- Daken Fire Jacket (DFJ) - Flexible Fire Jacket
- Daken Rigid Box (DRB) - Rigid fire protection enclosure
- Daken Epoxy Cover (DEC) - Intumescent Epoxy for Passive Fire Protection

In addition to PFP, Daken design, manufacture and supply a range of insulation jackets that can be customized to suit clients’ requirements. The insulation is calculated based on thermal requirements and is typically designed for pipes, valves, vessels, and turbine exhausts.
- Daken Insulation Jacket (DIJ) - Thermal Insulation Jacket
